5. Research results

Over the past 5 years it been conducted research on complex topics “Monitoring studies of industrial ichthyocenoses at the Zaporozhye (Dnipro) Reservoir and measures for rational management of fisheries and fishery resources reproduction” (2010–2012); “Surveying and monitoring of fishery ponds Dnipropetrovsk Region” (2013–2015); “Research of bioproductive potential in reservoirs of complex appointment at Dnipro region” (2016–2018). Main scientific results are:

  • research of industrial fish fauna in the Zaporozhye (Dnipro) Rservoir; study and development of measures for rational management of fishing and reproduction of fish resources;
  • fertility study of types of industrial fish fauna in the Zaporozhye (Dnipro) Reservoir; development of measures on reproduction of fish resources; biological ground of fishing volumes and features in the Zaporizhzhya (Dnipro) Reservoir;
  • development and improvement of recommendations for the assessment and identification of fish productivity of the studied reservoirs mode of stocking, recommendations and suggestions for planning conservation measures for preservation and reproduction of valuable commercial fish species proposals for the rational management of fisheries in accordance with the quantitative and qualitative composition of fish fauna in reservoirs.

According to the scientific subject it was carried out 21 economic contracts and 2 governmental budgetary research works:

1. Theoretical bases of formation and functioning of aquatic ecosystems under the conditions of combined influence of cities and enterprises of nuclear industry, reg. № 0111U001137 (Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine).

2. Research of adaptogenic mechanisms of different types of Dnipro aquatic ecosystems and determination of ways to increase their productivity, reg. № 0115U002396 (Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine).

3. Scientific substantiation of fisheries management measures in Zaporozhye reservoir to increase the fish productivity and increasing stocks of aquatic biological resources, reg. № 0112U004757 (Fisheries Agency of Ukraine).

4. Development and improvement of fishery activities in waters Dnepropetrovsk region in order to optimize and increase the efficiency of agriculture, reg. № 113U000948 (Fisheries Agency of Ukraine)

7. Examples of participation in industrial innovation

Scientific results are implemented in practice of Fisheries Agency of Ukraine, and Department of protection, use and reproduction of water bioresources and regulation of fishing in the Dnipropetrovsk region at Dnipropetrovsk Regional Administration. According to the results of research “Theoretical bases of formation and functioning of aquatic ecosystems under the conditions of combined influence of cities and enterprises of nuclear industry” funded of 993.8 thousand UAH, and “Research of adaptogenic mechanisms of different types of Dnipro aquatic ecosystems and determination of ways to increase their productivity” funded of 852,3 thousand UAH it had been fulfilled 20 economical contract research works with a total funds of 323,6 thousand UAH. Effective use of previous studies was 0.33.

2011, 2016 – Special Awards for the professional achievements, granted by the Rector of Oles Honchar Dnipropetrovsk National University.

Over the past 5 years on a competitive basis it had been received funding to perform research for 2 governmental budgetary and 15 economic contract research.
